We, the parents and community of HISD, do not accept the actions of the state-appointed superintendent board of managers, which has been drastically changing HISD policies and campuses without representing the will of the residents.
We denounce the unwarranted removal of teachers, administrators, custodians, librarians, entire school libraries, dual-language programs, wraparound specialists, and elective programs that are being replaced with low-quality “dyad” classes.
We demand an end to the micromanagement and harassment of teachers and a return of autonomy to campuses. No more drill and kill!
